The reproduction of the outside world is, for me, far less important than the expression of the inner experience of reality- the emotional response aroused by natural beauty finding its pictorial counterpart.
The dialogue between the emotion aroused by nature and the colour-orchestration of the picture surface is at the root of my painting process. It is trying to understand the relationship between the eye, the hand and the heart.
